INDIAN FOOD RECIPES


Sambhar


Ingredients :

Toor Dal 1/2 Cup Cooked.
Tamarind lemon size soaked in water
salt Acc to taste
pearl/small Onions 1/4 kgs skin removed
Dhania seeds 2 tsp
Channa dal 1 tsp
Red Chilies 4 Nos or Acc to taste
Coconut 1 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp

Seasoning :

Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Red chilies optional 1 No
Urad dal 1 tsp
Curry Leaves few

Method :

Saok the tamarind in water & squeeze the juice.
In a pan with a tsp of oil fry dhania,red chilies.
channa dal.Grind it with coconut to a smooth paste.

In the same pan with the remaining oil fry the onions for a minute.

Add the tamarind Juice, salt & let it boil

till the raw smell diminishes.

Add the ground paste & Toor Dal to the tamarind

mixture & let it cook for few minutes.
Do the seasoning & adjust the salt.

Serve it hot with Rice , Idli or Masala dosa.
